THE TEAM
The majority of our staff has been with us for about a decade or more. This is a rarity in the dental field, or in any industry period! It is the single factor that we are proud of the most. We would like to think it says a lot about our office. It is a team in the truest sense of the word; more of a dental family. Our goal has always been to maintain the same competent and friendly faces treating our patients, year in year out. We have the most positive of work environments which directly translates into superior patient care.
Brittney
Registered Dental Hygienist
Brittney is a Registered Dental Hygienist whose calm friendly demeanour quickly puts her patients at ease. Her education and skills in hygiene were honed at Algonquin College, not far from her home roots in Dunrobin. She takes pride in helping her patients understand their specific preventative home care routines. Brittney is an avid ringette player and enjoys travelling to music festivals in her free time.

Dental Assistant Level II
Megan has been part of the Marchwood Family for many years, originally as a patient and then as a member of our amazing Dental Assisting team. Her strong organisational skills, calm demeanor and quick wit highlight what she brings to each patient’s experience. Megan and her husband hail from Richmond, and stay busy keeping up with their two lovely daughters.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Kathleen had a background in graphic arts before turning her attention-to-detail to a career in Dental Hygiene. She genuinely cares about the comfort and oral health of her patients which comes through in her dedication to her profession. Outside of the office Kat is an active mom to two busy little ones and enjoys cycling and cross-country skiing.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Completing her dental hygiene training at Algonquin College, Alyson brings a gentle and calm feeling to all her patients. Her small town Almonte roots shine through in her friendly and personable demeanour. Outside of her work life she enjoys spending time with her family and being in the outdoors, while still calling Almonte home.

Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist
Paula is our resident master of cosmetic dentistry – she can improve the most beautiful smile! Paula is not one to hold back; she has studied Level II Dental Assisting, went back to college for Dental Hygiene and followed that up with a Restorative Hygiene Diploma. In her spare time, Paula loves to travel and spend time with her two athletic sons.

Laura is a true Ottawa Valley girl having spent her childhood in the town of Round Lake. She is calm under pressure and creative in every way.

Administrative Assistant
Karine is a constant professional at our front desk offering friendly service in both French and English, having been raised in Montreal. Organized, efficient and dependable are all traits she brings to our administrative team. Outside of the office she enjoys travelling with her daughters and large extended family.

Alex was raised in Kars and is a disciplined health and fitness advocate who enjoys the constant search for knowledge.

Jess is a natural and friendly conversationalist who immediately puts her patients at ease. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English and History before pursuing a career in Dental Hygiene. She is a dedicated mom to one daughter that keeps her and her husband on the run and having fun.

Jill is a well-versed manager in the dental field having spent many years working as a Dental Assistant and Dental Administrator. She enjoys the rewards of team building and is proud to lead such a passionate group of dental care providers at Marchwood Dental. Jill likes to stay active and cherishes any time she can get with her adult children.
Ashley
Registered Dental Hygienist
Ashley is a seasoned dental hygienist who has been working in the field since 2006. As a trusted dental professional, she is known for her approach, expertise and genuine care for her patients. In her spare time, Ashley channels her compassion towards another cause close to her heart, rescuing dogs. As a dedicated animal lover, she contributes to local rescue organizations, and is a dedicated dog mom of two while also enjoying travelling the world with her husband!

Lana’s journey in dentistry has been marked by a genuine love for her work and a sincere connection with her patients. Through the years, she has cultivated a gentle touch and a friendly demeanor that make each dental visit a comfortable experience. Lana shares her knowledge about oral health aiming to empower patients to make informed choices for their smiles. Outside of work Lana enjoys spending time with her family and baking. She would love to open a bakery one day!

Jennifer has been a vital part of our dental assisting team for two decades. Her patients and colleagues alike appreciate her kindness, maturity, and sense of humour. Jen grew up in Westboro in a large close-knit family who instilled in her an appreciation for the arts and music at a young age.

Wendy has been the dedicated anchor at the front desk for over 30 years – She knows everyone and everyone knows her! She is a lover of all things summer and will always have a book on the go.
Dr. Bahram Mostaghaci
Dr. Mostaghaci is a graduate of the Dental School at Western University in London, Ontario (2001), with joint Bachelor of Science degrees with Honours in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. He subsequently completed a post-graduate residency program in Northern Ontario in General Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Bahram has spent the better part of his career gaining valuable advanced training at higher-learning dental institutions throughout North America and Europe. This has allowed him to provide his patients with a comprehensive array of procedures including implant surgery, bone and gum grafting procedures, jaw and sinus augmentation, advanced laser therapies and Invisalign orthodontics. Additionally, he has been using digital CAD-CAM technology for over almost two decades, providing patients with crowns and inlays in a single visit. He was one of the first users of this CEREC technology in the Ottawa area and has been perfecting the system ever since. Dr. Mostaghaci has a deep and personal connection to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Institute, having been involved in years of fundraising activities and the promotion of new innovations in cancer research. He also volunteers his time and skill in international dental missions. He loves to travel and is an avid soccer player and fan. Dr. Mostaghaci can often be found on a soccer pitch or basketball court with his two sons and wife Paula or discussing the successes of his beloved England’s Leeds United.

Dr. Amin Alibhai
Dr. Amin Alibhai is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a particular focus on complicated surgical extractions. He is a strong proponent of early intervention of wisdom teeth to minimize surgical invasiveness, to increase bone preservation, to prevent complications with adjacent teeth and to facilitate a rapid healing period for his patients. A multitude of clinical studies support his success, and equally important, a large patient base from Newfoundland, Ontario and Quebec have had positive outcomes under his care over the past couple decades.
Dr. Alibhai earned his first degree at the University of Waterloo where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree. He followed with a Degree in Dentistry from the University of Western Ontario in 2001. In his educational pursuit, in 2009 he completed Medical School and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
A dedicated philanthropist, Dr. Alibhai gives his time and expertise volunteering in dental missions around the world; he sets a personal goal of participating in a minimum of two missions a year. When he is not in a dental clinic, Dr. Alibhai enjoys travelling and partaking in outdoor activities like fishing, skating, skiing, and snowmobiling.
Dr. Alibhai is in good standing with the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He holds the following professional credentials:

Dr. Keith Josephson
We are excited to announce the arrival of Dr. Josephson to Marchwood Dental. Keith is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, completing his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Mount Allison University (2001) in New Brunswick, graduating with first class honours distinction. Keith completed his dentistry degree at Dalhousie University (2005) in Nova Scotia. While there he received the Charles Bell Memorial Prize for second highest academic standing, the Dr. William W. Woodbury Prize for excellence in orthodontics, and the Quintessence Award for achievement in research. He was honoured by his peers as valedictorian of his graduating class. Keith has been practicing in Ottawa since 2013, where he now calls home. He has continued to further his dental education at the Kois Center, the prestigious dental continuing education institute in Seattle, known for its scientific and evidence-based approach. More recently he has completed the extensive implant surgery residency at the Dagher Institute. Keith’s philosophy around dentistry is to emphasize communication with patients to ensure they play an active role in making informed decisions about their care.
In his free time, Keith enjoys doing CrossFit, golfing, running, skiing, live music, and spending time with his family. Keith also has a passion for travel, food and wine, and was once an avid rugby player playing provincially for his home province of Newfoundland.

Dr. David Landsman
Dr. David Landsman earned his Dental Degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. His undergraduate years were spent at Western University in London, Ontario, achieving an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biology with a specialization in Environmental Science. David has excelled in his studies since secondary school having graduated with the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Dr. Landsman is fluently bilingual in English and French and can hold a conversation in Spanish. His career in dentistry began as a General Practice Resident at New York University Langone Hospital in Brooklyn where he honed his skills in restorative procedures. David is a sports enthusiast who can often be found on a soccer pitch or hockey rink. Apart from sports, his hobbies include travel, guitar and piano.

Tiffany started her career in the dental world 20 years ago after completing her Diploma in Dental Assisting at Algonquin College. Now she brings her knowledge and experience to the administrative team. Tiffany grew up in Kanata but recently made the move to country living with her husband and two sons.

Dental Assistant Level II
Lianne brings over 20 years of experience as a Certified Dental Assistant. Her keen eye for detail makes each patient’s experience a success. Having grown up close to Pakenham, Lianne will admit she doesn’t stray too far from home. She is a proud and very busy mom to three and spends most of her free time at a hockey rink, a softball diamond, the motocross track, or cross-country skiing with her golden retriever.
Dr. Rebecca Kassaw
Dr. Kassaw is a graduate of the University of Ottawa having earner her undergraduate degree with Honours in Health Science. She furthered her studies at the renowned University of Toronto, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Rebecca is pleased to now be practicing dentistry in her hometown of Ottawa.
Dr. Kassaw is proficient in preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, with a special focus on pediatrics. She can also offer patients treatment with mild sedation as a licensed provider of nitrous oxide.
Dr. Kassaw approaches dentistry with care and precision, staying current with best practices through ongoing specialized training. She has participated in several outreach programs, volunteering her time and skills to provide dental treatment to underserved communities in both Jamaica and the Greater Toronto Area.
Outside the office, Dr. Kassaw enjoys trying out new restaurants and fitness classes around the city with her family and friends.

Cari is the warm smile ready to welcome you when you enter our office. As a part of our administrative team, she is happy to help you coordinate your treatment and scheduling needs. Cari also has experience as a chairside dental assistant, so she is well-versed in all treatment planning areas.
