Like conventional implant protocols, the loading of implants is done simply under local anesthesia and in a sterile clinical environment. The success is directly related to correct planning. Computerized radiographs that provide accurate images are taken, providing a three-dimensional assessment using tomographic sections.

Surgical guides are made to facilitate controlled insertion of the implants and to allow planning of implant placement, practically eliminating human error. These guides are manufactured in order to provide the most ideal placement of the implant, taking into consideration ideal length, diameter, and spatial inclination of the implants according to the characteristics of the bone volume of the patient’s jaw.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

It depends on the number of teeth that need to be replaced. For a single tooth, the implant placement itself can easily be placed under an hour. The temporary crown that is fixated on the implant can take an additional hour. The patient enters the clinic in the morning and leaves a couple of hours later with a fixed tooth where the old tooth used to be.
